Alice, an outdated television presenter, takes the ferry at rush hour to Barreiro. The mundane task of the day is to film a low-rated report on surfers catching waves caused by boats in the dirty waters of the Tagus. He meets Ricardo, a local surfer, and the people of Barreiro who often get together at the Gasoline Association to surf, skate and listen to punk-rock concerts. After a boat strike, Alice spends the night in Barreiro and experiences a new way of life, opposite to her past of fame that she would like to recover.
